Tried dynamic core with fixed cycles?

How do I go about activating that? 😀 (forgive me I am slightly new to it) I've just used the most basic settings i.e. download/install and wham bham thank you very much.

Either by editing the config file (there's a shortcut to that in the start menu) or by typing something like this at the DOSBox prompt:
core dynamic
cycles 25000
(where 25000 is a number that indicates the speed. If the game is too slow, increase this number. Decrease it when too fast).

If you edit the config file, just look for the lines "core=auto" and "cycles=auto" and adjust those accordingly.

The advantage of the command line is that it's easy for testing. Unlike editing the config file, those changes won't persist to the next session, of course.
