do other games work?

post content of "DOSBox Status Window" (in Windows: right click on its title bar -> edit)
enclose your dosbox's config file

post your mount lines and what is written under every mount line
post what is written after you type "mount"

I thought so. It sounds like you tried to run it without installing it. The resources on the floppy disks are split and compressed, so the game can't open its resources. The original installer was meant to join and decompress them. You will need to install the game before you can play it. This new installer will do it for you, patch it and set it up in DOSBox.
