So, I've got MC2 running rock stable under DosBox but now I'm faced with another issue!
Have the original CD and for some reason the CD audio is not not working. The audio tracks on the CD is the speech for mission overviews between the levels.
I noticed in the options the "Speech" is greyed out and cannot be switched on.
Has anyone got the CD audio tracks to work under DosBox?
Are you using the physical CD or a cue/bin?
I have tried the physical CD and also created an Alcohol 120 image with the sub-channel data intact.
Just had a thought.. I've just been mounting the CD drives as a normal drive within DosBox. Should I specifically be mounting the drives as a CD drive within dosbox?
EDIT: I think I know what the problem is. I havent mounted the drive with any CD options and will try the following when I get home.
Z:\>MOUNT D D:\ -t cdrom -usecd 0 -ioctl
EDIT 2: Yup, that was the problem. CD audio is now working since the drive has been properly mounted 😀
