This drag racing game by Bethesda was almost identical to Burnout: Championship Drag Racing..

I mounted up the directory and ran SETSOUND (successfully)
Ran NIRA.exe and the game showed the Title Screen and then crashed
displaying this message:

A Fatal Error Occured:
Problem Allocation Memory while reading file: SOUND\LAMV12M2.WAV

what do you mean "mounted up the directory"

Could you be more specific? Normally directories aren't mounted for Windows games.

Exactly drag racing is a 1999 game so it should be a windows game
why are you trying to mount the game folder for a windows game
and what program are you using to mount it the mount looks like a dosbox command but you arnt using dosbox because
1: You would of mentioned it.....
2: you posted in the windows forum not the dos or dosbox forum
3: you dont use dosbox for windows games

Sounds like it's a DOS version, because otherwise you'd have seen a message about running the executable in Windows. Considering the error message, and that it's a 1999 game, I suggest you try increasing memsize (max is memsize=63) in the conf.
