I noticed Battle Chess Enhanced (DOS cd version) is unaffected by scalers. No matter what scaler I try, the graphics and resolution stay the same. I haven't had any problems with other games. I tested it on two different computers. Any way to fix this or any ideas why it doesn't work with this particular game? Are there certain games that don't work with scalers?
I believe that scalers disable for games with higher resolutions. You may need to enable the Force Scalers option.
Is the game using anything like a color depth of 16-bit or more? If yes then I am afraid that there isn't much you can do. While very few scalers may technically work (like normal2x), output=surface is practically forced.
