Ultima 7 runs fine but if I add the Forge of Virtue add-on then the game quickly crashes 🙁

Has anyone else seen this or has anybody got FoV to run okay?

I'm on an Athlon/Windows XP system.

No, i never had problems with it. Although I have been using the CVS build from mypixels.dk/forums. So I haven't seen any problems with it.
