Hello all!

Hope I can get some help here. I'm new to DOSBox, and I'm trying to run Steel Panthers: Main Battle Tank. According to the database it is playable on DOSbox, but the performance I'm experiencing is so slow, that "playable" is stretching it 😀 . I had to run the mouse2kv program to get it to respond to certain mouse clicks.

Any ideas for how to speed it up? Here's my system specs, per the guidelines from the moderator:
Motherboard: No clue, it's a Toshiba Satellite notebook PC.
Processor: Intel Celeron 1060 Mhz.
RAM: 256 MB DDR.
Video: Intel chipset with 32 MB ram.
Operating System: Windows 2000 Professional SP4.
Game Name: Steel Panthers: MBT
Problem: Everything is WAY too slow, from selecting units to response to button presses etc.
Reproduction: Always
Sound Mode: 3DSound (not getting any sound, but I don't care).
Video Mode: Direct3D
Version: DOSBox 0.60
Steps attempted to solve the problem: Pared down my running windows apps to bare mimums, read the README (no help).
