Hi,

I am running windows 8 and am using the program DFEND reloaded to run the old Dragonlance Goldbox games. I can get each game to run and get each game to recognize its own save game directory. I cannot however, get Death Knights to see the Champions of Krynn save folder or Dark Queen to see Death Knights (for the purposes of transferring characters from one game to the next in the series)

I know it must be some type of path issue, but I cannot find the widget that I need to tweak to get these running.

Any help from the smart dos gurus here would be greatly appreciated.

Played these originally on my C-64 and would love to try them again.

So, I figured it out and thought id share w/ any other D-FEND users:

I had to open the .CFG (config) file for Death Knights and Dark Queen and look at the save path listed there, then just make sure the folder names were an exact match and it works like a charm!

Had to use Microsoft word to open the config file.

I'd advise against using Word to open those files: they're plain text and they could end up being saved in Word's format. Use Notepad, or vi or something like that.
