I just downloaded DOSBOX due to problems with QFGIV by SIERRA. I can't run the game from DOSBOX because it says SIERRA uses the batch file automatically... has anyone played this game from DOSBOX? If so, what did you type into the command line in order to get it to run? Thanks.
I got QFG4 running with 0.60 but had some trouble with timer issues at the very end of the game and had to use the CVS. No idea about 0.61.
Can't remember what I started the game with. Likely just "sierra" in the right directory. You could probably just look at the bat file and type what it says. And if you're running with floppies you better make sure the game is patched.
You should be able to run the bat file itself through DOSBOX. To make sure, select (from Windows) the bat file, right click and select edit. You will then see simple english DOS commands. However, I actually use the Windows version because there are fewer bugs.
