Hi,
as you know Blizzard offers 3 games for free on their website: The lost Viking, Blackthorne & Rock n Roll Racing.
I can play them in Windows which is fine, but i want to play them in Dosbox on a linux machine....
Blizzard made some special dosbox stuff, so the games doesn´t work in dosbox.
Does anyone know if there is a way or workaround?
When it comes to Blizzard, many of the "workarounds" are an excellent opportunity to experience civil law in action.

I tested Blackthorne and it works just fine in DOSBox 0.74. BTHORNE.EXE is a normal DOS executable.
If I remember correctly the games (The Lost Vikings and Blackthorne) work in DosBox 0.74 but not in DosBox SVN version. (I played both games a while ago on a linux machine.)
Seems to work in recent SVN as well:
The game runs fine in the current SVN (r3993) if you set the cycles to anything above 5000 and not 'max'. This was already discovered severals years ago, as you can read in the official DOSBox compatibility list.
I just tested it with
core=autocputype=autocycles=10000
No problemo! 😀
