I can go through the install process as far as installing info.exe and then i get the following error

Error in 'copy'
no file or directory exists

then the install aborts..

You will have to give more information than that, such as the exact steps you have taken, the mounting commands you used, etc.

Sounds like an attempt to install from an already installed copy...

Or running the install from the CD without having also mounted a "C:" drive.
