Ancient Win16 application crashes DOSBox/Visual C++ ?

Hi, I just have made an observation.

While running an older real-mode application in Windows 3.x,
I was able to not just crash Windows 3.1, but the whole DOSBox session.

The application (medic) is running on Windows 3.10 with S3 864 drivers (v1.41B5).

I'm running it in ykhwong's SVN build 07-05-2011 on Windows 7 x64 and apologize for that.

I know that this forum is intended with official DOSBox in mind,
but because the crash is rather unusual, not to say hefty, I thought this could be useful/interesting somehow.

You are apparently ignoring the warning dialog about running that Windows 2 software in Windows 3. 😉

Please only report problems here that you are sure affect DOSBox 0.74 and/or vanilla SVN. If Daum is also affected then it's fine to mention that.

In any case, I think the problem is that DOSBox is trying to shut down with an error exit but encounters a bug that has been fixed in current source. If interested, try a current SVN build and you should get a "normal" error exit.

You're right - official DOSBox 0.74 closes gracefully. DOSBox SVN r4023 also.
(Exit to error: CALL:Descriptor type 13 unsupported)
