I'm trying to run ADOM in DOSBox on Mac OS X. I've tried:

cwsdpmi -p
cwsdpmi -p -sa.swp
and
cwsdpmi -p -s-

followed by

adom

but in each case DOSBox crashes and I get "illegal hardware instruction" on the command line. Any suggestions as to how to make this work?

Don't have a clue, i thought adom ran on a mac w/a dosbox, but i'm mistaken about that right?

Anyway, running adom under winxp with dosbox (what's pretty useless couse adom got a win version to) it run just fine, exept i can't use the 1,3,5,7 and 8 on the numpad to move diagonal, gota use the numbers above the letters. gota do something with numlock

If the same version works in DOSBOX on PC (I did not test ADOM recently, so I cannot tell whether something was not broken even there), it could indicate some "little endian/big endian" bug in DOSBOX. Mac processors use different convention than PCs.
If it is really so, it would mean problems in more games on Mac.

ADOM 1.1.1 works ok in DOSBOX on PC. No need to start DPMI separately, no crashes. So it looks like Macintosh bug (probably some "endianness" bug). It would be good if somebody else with Macintosh could confirm it.
