the game runs complety on my computer, but i own the original game on the cd, so maybe the game search some file on one other unit (D: ?)
In my case, i didn't needed some 'special' configuration file to run Ascendancy.

😖 sorry for my english, but what do you mean by cd-rip version ?
I run the game with the original cd from 1995, not a copy or something else.
Ascendancy is installed on c: and cd mounted to d:

TDUJAM.EXE is highly suspicious to me... 😁

El_Pusher, you might want to look at the names of the people posting. guyone is they one who got the cd-rip, not trumpet. 😉

I had original CD but lost it many years ago.

actuelly, I even forgot the name of this game. it took me years to find out it name and several monthes to get a cd-rip

it worked fine on windos XP (without sound) or dosbox 0.63(with sound, but slow) for several weeks. however it stopped working today. I have no idea about what's going wrong. (the only thing I think may be related to this problem is the windows update files i installed yesterday...) what I get now is just the same as guyone, and the program can't even run under windows XP.

it seems that there are others who meet this problem (like this: Ascendancy doesn't run at all. )
is there anybody know how to solve the problem?

Hey Guyone. You must run SETSOUND.EXE under DOSBox first. Configure your sound settings there. You ran it, did you?
