Hi! I'm new to using DOSBox, and I'm trying to get my son's laptop set up to run Mavis Beacon Teaches Typing.

I'm using the media I downloaded from here:

EDIT: LINK REMOVED

After extracting the zip to his hard drive and installing DOSBox, I successfully stumbled through the process of mounting the folder that contains the game in DOSBox. I can launch the main program with MAVIS.EXE, but when closing down and restarting, any progress is lost. I imagine I need to run the INSTALL.EXE to set that up, but it then asks to copy media from the floppy disk to the hard drive, and I'm lost.

Questions:
Can I make this work in such a way that whatever files the program would ordinarily save will in fact be kept from one session to another?
Will I need to complete the INSTALL.EXE process to make that happen?
Can anyone offer some insights into making that work?

Mount the folder as drive A and try installing it again.

Just another user that likes old OSes and videogames, nothing interesting to see here...
