I can get the program to run and all seems well,
The program goes through the inttro where Gorath kill Haseth and then it comes up and says that the program was unable to create a needed file and the program terminates....
Please help

Which file? It works fine here (CVS build, but I think 0.61 is ok as well). Is the program on disc where it can write?
Perhaps try to reinstall it.

It never says which file....
It only says that an important file could not be created....it is a message from the game itself and not from DosBox....
Robert in response to your idea about attributes....I went to DOS mode , changed to the krondor directory and after doing an attrib command, all files only haver the "A" attribute, none are marked as read only...
However, If I go to windows explorer, the krondor folder is set to read only and I cannot change it no matter what I do and yes I am the administrator 😀
I will look forward to further ideas 😀
