Ascendancy doesn't run at all.

Hi, I'm new to Dosbox so I'm sure I'm doing something wrong. A little help will be greatly appreciated.

When I try to run Ascendancy within DOSBox (Ver 0.61 for Windows) I get this:

There's a pretty good pause, like it's going to work, but then kicks back to the c prompt.

I'm running Windows XP

mem returns:
636 Kb free conventional memory
15296 Kb free extended memory
15296 Kb free expanded memory

Any ideas? It's supposed to be a supported game.

yeah, I did that first, along with everything I could find in the forums on Ascendancy. 😢 No one has an answer.

So, I'm setting up an old PC with dos 7.10 and I'm gonna try the old way.
