Using the dos indy car racer 2 with the latest cvs build I get :

Unable to find IndyCar.exe in ''. on launching the program. In debug mode it looks like its trying to find an IndyCar.etx file (which doesn't and AFAIK shouldn't exist).
dos4gw always looks for original exe .etx so that 's not allarming.
are you sure there isn't file missing are a directory structure ?

yes i played the game under windows XP with VDMsound using the same files so nothing is missing.
hmm probably you mounted the game directory as root
like mount c c:\path\to\game
try mounting root to root
like
mount c c:\

yippeee, i don't understand why exactly but that works 100%
the game probably looks for files at certain places (e.g.) where you installed them. if you start dosbox and type
mount c c:\dir then you change your c drive according to your program.
