Hello! (^-^)ノ

New to the forums. I hope I posted in the correct place. I recently downloaded DOSBox and I'm running my favorite childhood CD-ROM game, Brain Dead 13. I followed the following guides when setting up all the parameters:

60 seconds guide to getting your game to run in DOSBox

https://www.dosbox.com/comp_list.php?showID=2757

The game looks better than I could have imagined, runs perfectly both visually and audibly. However..

While I'm playing the game, there's clearly moments when the CD-ROM drive has to be accessed to retrieve information. It's a game akin to Dragon's Lair. It's essentially a movie and you make inputs during a specific timing window in order to either play the rest of the animated video, or play a death video. If you're trying to make an input at certain key places, the game will momentarily freeze and you'll hear the CD-ROM boot up, then the game resumes.

Here's a link to the CD-ROM I'm using as well:

Is there a way that I can change either settings within DOSBox or settings specific to my CD-ROM hardware to have it always be running the disc so there's no interruptions during gameplay? OR should I just copy the contents of the CD-ROM to my PC's HDD and run the program from there through DOSBox? I'm not sure how to accomplish the latter. All of this is very new to me.

Worked like a charm! No pauses I can now die happy! I also tried putting everything on a jump drive and changing the mount paths and the game is perfect. I guess I would just have to edit the config file before playing the game off of a jump drive on someone else's PC to account for the letter automatically assigned to the jump drive by the PC? I'm ok with that. Thanks a million! ┌(˘⌣˘)ʃ
