I'm trying to get King's Quest V working. It's the version found on the first CD of the Roberta Williams Anthology.

The game database lists this as working with 0.61. I, however, don't get any sound or music.

Does anyone know a solution?

You have to mount the CD as that is where the audio files are. Also be sure that your RESOURCE.CFG file points to the CD.

This does not work. The CD ist mounted and the installation took care of the ressource.cfg file (it's pointing to d:\kq5 - that sould be correct ).
BTW. the installer asks if you want a small or a big install (~20MB). Doesn't the big install copy the audio data?

Interesting. I have the standalone version. Copied everything over.
Modified the resource.cfg appropriately and no problems there.
Never had the anothology. (bummer 🙁 )
