i have a p4 1.7ghz with 512 ram.

i have the latest cvs of dosbox, and i'm trying to run privateer.

with the latest cvs, privateer runs a lot more smoothly than before - but is still real choppy. all the threads i've searched people seem to be doing fine after they have the cvs build, but it's still pretty choppy for me. i try upping the cycles and it still has no effect.

I have it set on 7500 but the avg seems to be around 5000 actual cycles. so it usually says like 5000 = 7500 cycles

is my system not good enough to handle it? or is there some additional tweaking i can do?
