Some games dont even work with sound any more, such as lemmings, others such as Day of the Tentacle the sound "crackles" a lot, some game's sound too soft and its too hard to hear.

I can tell you guys changed the sound emulation a lot, and introduced a bunch of new problems. Some games do sound a bit better, but overall im a tad disappointed with the sound in a lot of games.

my computer specs:
P4 3.2 GHz
1 GB RAM
Windows XP pro SP2
SB audigy 2 ZS
Geforce 6800 GT

Try to play a bit with the sound settings in DOSBOX.CONF. DOSBOX now supports many different SoundBlaster types (SB1,SB2,SBPRO1,SBPRO2,SB16).

DOSBOX also now supports volume regulation by programs in later SoundBlasters. Use in-game settings to change volume, if it does not help, you can use the emulation of older SoundBlasters (before SBPRO1 - they does not have that volume regulation).

What was the sound blaster type emulated in version .61? Was it just one type? Which one was it?
