Try to read the above mentioned a few more times and think about what it means... I am sure you will realize its meaning... It is written there in plain English!

Otherwise: if you are sure it is a DOS game (I do not know it), then it may be some Windows installer/windows version of the game. Look for DOS installer/DOS version of the game.

I'm just guessing, but is this downloaded abandonware? If so, what you have may be a self-extracting zip or RAR file. These can be extracted either using windows or using whatever command line extractors are available for DOS (unrar on linux will extract these fine, although they will also extract under wine.)

The game itself (if I'm thinking of the right one) works perfectly under dosbox.
