First let me say im very pleased that someone made this program, it has helped some games.

My favorite game, Master of Magic (1995) has no sound in dosbox or on my normal computer. Is there any way around this?

Also how do I maximize the dosbox screen

Thank you

-fullscreen
Starts dosbox in fullscreen mode.

What would I type in dosbox to make this work. I can do it with alt + enter already

Also is there a way to make dosbox permanently have the files mounted

This is really a complex issue, so far i dont see the answer in those guides or in the readme

Can anyone give me a sample config file to get the sound to work? Im not looking to master dosbox, i have better things to do. If I have to do this on my own I can alter my config.sys to get the sound to work I was hoping there was a straightfoward solution though

"A config file can be generated by CONFIG.COM, which can be found on the
internal dosbox Z: drive when you start up dosbox. Look in the internal
programs section of the readme for usage of CONFIG.COM."

"CONFIG [-writeconf] [-writelang] localfile
Write the current configuration or language settings to file.
"localfile" is located on the local drive !!!

Example:
To create a configfile in your current directory:
config -writeconf dosbox.conf"

this is just chinese to me. Does the dosbox program itself have to be located in (i.e.) "dosprogs" folder when you mount it?

  1. Where have you installed DOSBox? What directory?
  2. Have you looked in that directory? Which files do you see?
  3. What is this "dosbox program itself" you are refering to? Does it have a name?
  4. How do you start DOSBox? Do you just say out its name loud and it magically starts?
  5. Have youu tried one of the DOSBox front-ends?

C:\Rogers Program Files\DosBox 0.62\DOSBox-0.62

dosbox.conf
(I opened it with wordpad.)

I doubleclick dosbox.exe
