I'm trying to install System Shock but I'm having problems. I'm able to configure sound without issue, but for whatever reason I can't change the install directory.
The real problem comes when I try to execute the install. It often prompts me to load a floppy. Sometimes it wants a floppy loaded in A:, sometimes in C:. Its probably an issue in how I'm mounting drives. When I unzip the files, I have a directory called 'shockins' that contains some install files, a directory with data, and a directory with sound files. I was trying to mount this directory as a: but that has not helped. I would then mount a c: drive that would contain the default 'install to' directory.
This is not the CD version of System Shock. Does anybody have any ideas? Thanks.
