Version: DOSbox 0.63
Game: Quest for Glory 4
OS: Windows 2000 SP 4
Processor: Intel Pentium 4 2.4 ghz
RAM: 1 GB PC-800 Rambus

Problem: I have been running both the DOS and Windows version of this game, and the text boxes that come up to read are too fast to be able to.

Attempted Solutions: I have slowed the CPU cycles in DOSbox to 1,000; 2,000; 5,000; and then tried my default 10,000 to no avail. I have lowered memory (down to 8 mb of highmem), and also run utilities such as Turbo and MoSlo to try to slow down execution. They do not help in any way. I have tried Abandon Loader, and it just loads the NT CMD prompt which promptly crashes.

Any help or ideas would be greatly appreciated. 😀

When the game can't find the CD it will do this. be sure that you have your CD mounted and that your RESOURCE.CFG file points to the CD drive.

Thanks for your help. 😀 I dug out my old floppy disk version, patched it, and all is well. 😀

((I didn't feel like tweaking DOSbox for that game when CDs work everywhere else.))
