hey guys, i have a toshiba portege laptop on which i have XP. DOSBOX .63 works fine.. crusader no remorse runs properly on mine. the trouble comes when i need to save i get an error saying some file.c problem. i tried running the game using DFEND also, whic is a frontend fro DOSBOX. it doesnt help. somebody help me.. no one else seems to ave this prob..

are you certain you configured the game correctly and that you are not running from the cdrom ?

fine im sorry. the game is configured right, im running it off my hard disk only, no cd rom and stuff. the only problem seems to be saving.. nothing else. can anyone give me a listing of all directories in their crusader folder? maybe one of mine is missing or something?? thanks

Make sure that there is a SAVEGAME directory in the Crusader directory...otherwise you will get this error.

yeah.. thats why i asked for a list of directories.. is the dir name SAVEGAME ?? ill try it out and let u guys know.

DosFreak found this by watching his debug window. He did not initially have the SAVEGAME directory, thus, the list would have been useless 😀

hey man.. thanks a billion. the game saves now properly.. it wsa missing a SAVEGAME directory.. u guys rock..
