Got the game to work (altered the DOSBox sound config to match what the
game was calling for :

base=220
irq=5
dma=1
hdma=1

But it is running very slow, any suggestions on how to get this moving
faster?

As usual, did you try speeding up DOSBox playing with frameskipping and/or cpu cycles? Read the readme file if you don't know what I am talking about. You should also check the DOSBox guides on this same forum if you haven't already done so. 😎

Try running the Windows version - it's much better. 😀
