Please excuse me as I'm new to this and might be missing something obvious, but I'm having a hard time getting Darklands to be at a playable speed once I set foot outside of a town/city.

It goes waaaaay to slow to play and the ctrl-F12 function doesn't speed it up enough until I lock up my system.

Reading what other people post about the game, they seem to have problems with the sound...I don't...but I can't get it past an agonizing crawl when I'm outside the city.

please help.
