I have a problem with UW1, running in Dosbox 0.63. It always breaks down on the 2nd level in the mine when I want to go to kill the monster or I want to sleep.
Have you met this before?

Hmmm. Not sure. I remember playing UW under Windows XP far more than 2nd level. Did you try VDMSound? It works with it too.

Unfortunately I couldn't install VDMSound properly. It is an official notebook with Win2000 and I havn't got administrator rights, and VDMSound install needed it.
So I can use just Dosbox and so far it has worked perfectly more or less (apart from that it is sometimes jumping out to the desktop - not closing dosbox, the program is runnin further, just minimize in taskbar).
But now on the 2nd level it died. 😵
The problem has been sold. I restored an earlier saved file and went again into the mine and now it is working. It was just maybe a damaged save. 😉
