Thanks to Dos Box I got an old space trading/combat game called "Elite" up and running. Just one problem: if you make progress you want to save your game for later, otherwise you get nowhere. Elite lets you save your game but when you try to Load it just says there has been an error try again Y N? if you try Y nothing happens. Very frustrating!

The saved games appear in the directory but they wont load. Anyone out there got a solution?

Alfredo: I think I know the problem. There is a bug in DOSBox where it doesn't realize when games create new files. You can try quitting the game after saving and then either restarting DOSBox or type RESCAN at the DOSBox prompt. Even better, someone has suggested that pressing ctrl+f4 will cause DOSBox to look for new files, even while it's running a game.
