CPU: AMD Sempron 3000
Mainboard: ABIT NF7 2.0
Chipset: nVIDIA nForce2
Memory: 1GB DDR SDRAM
Video: ATi Radeon 9600 AGP
OS: Windows XP SP2
Dosbox vers.: 0.63
Core: Normal & dynamic
Cycles: 10000 - CPU at 40% usage
Eye of the beholder 2: The legend of Darkmoon version 1.1

Description of problem:

EOB2 runs just fine but moving around using the keypad keys (4, 6, 8, 2, 7 and 9) is fine except for the "keypad 9 - PgUP" key which is used for turning around (anti clockwise). You have to press it several times for it to respond. Weird thing, the other keys respond properly. The mouse responds properly too.

Reproducibility: Always. Tested on two different machines.

Running it natively or using VDMSound exhibits same behaviour, so I am beginning to think it must be a bug in the game.

Hardware problem? I really doubt it. It must be due to something else. I have been testing it ON TWO DIFFERENT MACHINES. I never said it wasn't working but that it was working quite erratically.

I have been able to replicate the issue with my copy of Eye of the Beholder 2, perhaps our copies are buggy. My copy came from Gamefest: Forgotten Realms Classics, which is the same CD as was in Interplay's Forgotten Realms Archives Silver Edition.

Hmmm. It's weird because I remember to have finished it under ms-dos at least twice, I mean, using the same copy. So, I am still thinking is some sort of keyboard timing bug inside EOB2.

EDIT

This seems to be the official support page for EOB2

EDIT2

Oddly enough, Eye of the Beholder 1 doesn't suffer from this issue.
