hey umm... i've been running GK1-sins of the fathers....and on day 10, after i put the snake rod in the knothole the game freezes up saying
error in resource 803.snd:
i:\interp\ibm.........
It happens everytime...
I've rebooted, uninstalled and reinstalled the game and restored the saved game...then uninstalled again and reinstalled and started from scratch and it still gives me the same message.
I then used a friends cd and i got a similar error message earlier in the game....better my disk than that one. HELP!!! I'M SO CLOSE TO THE END BUT IT KEEPS CRASHING ON ME!!! IT'S DRIVING ME NUTSOID!!!

Why not use that cd with your savegame of just before the error.
Either that, or copy the entire cd contents to your harddrive, and make sure the resource.cfg file points to that location... then you could (if the error still occurs) replace 803.snd with the one located on your friend's cd.
