Im new to Dos Box and I own Tie Fighter: Collectors Cd-rom and I need help getting it running correctly. First off before I decided to use dos box with this game the sound and music does not work. I suspect it might have to do with compatibility issues with windows xp. Secondly the game itself works just fine, but the sound and music dont work.
Have you configured sound for the game?

Your post is confusing. In addition to eL_PuSHeR's question I have two more:
1. Is it the DOS version of Tie Fighter or is it the Windows version? Only the DOS version will run in DOSBox
2. If it's the DOS version, are you saying the sound won't work in DOSBox, or are you saying that it doesn't work if you try to run it directly in Windows?
Before I tryed using it in dos box the sound and music would not work. When I started it up in Dos box I get the install screen and can't access the game itself.
