So I'm playing an old MS-DOS point and click detective adventure game called The Dame was Loaded, which requires an ISO to be mounted to a drive.

The game is running fine, however my issue is that to bring up the inventory display, I need to click both the left and right mouse buttons at the same time, and it doesn't seem as though DOSBox (or DOSBox X, which I installed to see if that would work out of the box) recognises me clicking on the touchpad of my HP Laptop 14s-dq2xxx with both fingers on opposite ends of the bottom of the touchpad / tracker pad as simultaneously clicking both the left and right mouse buttons.

Is there a way to get DOSBox to recognise this behaviour? Perhaps it is possible to remap one of the keyboard buttons to the right mouse button?

it should be doable with a TSR that hooks int 9 or int 33h and fake mouse clics when a specific key is pressed. but...

that's exactly what the menu key (or shift+F10) does 😉
