I tried to run Skynet (or Terminator Future Shock 2 , Bethesda) on a system which has dual-boot: 1GHz Win2k and MS-DOS 6.22. I ran it in pure MS-DOS mode (NOT the windows DOS). Many games have I tried on this config and had worked fine (Doom, Hexen, Quake, Duke3D) but both Terminator: FS and Skynet keep crashing with "DOS/4GW professional error (2001)..." for which I found no cure.

Then I tried dosBOX, mounted the drive and got: "GAME, error : SysInit (Couldn't open archive)".
There are no read-only files and I even tried to uncheck the Archive param but in vain.
Could someone point me to a working config (step-by-step)?

I never got Skynet running in DOSBox either - I could get it to install and start, but whenever it would get to the part where you actually start playing it would crash.

Sounds like a graphics driver issue. Dunno could be wrong.

Come to Rat's Nest BBS 😉 Telnet to ratsnest.synchro.net. Lots of door games to play.
