I'm having problems in running portalk.sys on win7 32bit...
when I test porttalk I get this error
'Unknown Error While Starting Service. Service was NOT Started'
and Megabuild doesn't get the parallel port...
(UAC is disabled)
Any suggestion?

get help from the portalk developer site.

Edit, sorry that seems hopelessly out of date
There is a report that it works viewtopic.php?t=27238

my problem is on running porttalk.sys as service...
in Vista I get no error, but in win7 32bit I cannot start correctly the service...

here I found some suggestions,

but without a solution ...

still the service porttalk is not running...

I solved with some coding, porting InpOut32 64bit driver to the dosbox megabuild, substituting porttalk to access lpt under 64bit systems.
thanks to the help I got in the forum :)
