Hi : )

I have successfully configured the following games using the latest verion of dosbox with the d-fend reloaded front end, and got these games working over internet / lan multiplayer stable with around 6 players, on xp and vista.

Blood
Descent
Descent 2
Descent Plus
Doom II
Duke Nukem 3d
Heretic
Hexen
Master Of Magic (requires External Program)
Redneck rampage (runs a bit choppy tho)
Shadow Warrior
WarCraft
WarCraft 2

The settings for all of these games is pretty simple. Edit a profile for the game in d-fend reloaded,
1.)DosBox Settings Tab
Change both dosbox priorities to highest

2.)CPU tab
Change Cycles and Cores to Auto

3.)Memory tab
Change memory to 63
Enable xms umb and ems

4.)graphics tab
Change Renderer to overlay and scaling to nearest neighbor upscaling with factor 2(normal 2x)

5.)Network Tab
Check the box labled Activate UDP/IP Emulation and if you are going to be hosting a game check server, other wise check client and enter your opponents ip. The server starts first then the others start.

simple. If anyone ever wants to throw down I'm game. 😁

Check to make sure your opponent isn't suffering slowdown. I've played warcraft I & II successfully over the net. Either something is sucking your bandwidth or your opponent may not have the game configured correctly, imo.
