I have a old PC that I want to use for playing old DOS multiplayer games online. Is it possible to take the IPXNET program from DOSBox, edit it and compile it to work on DOS or Windows 95/98? I don't understand C++ enough to figure this out. 😒 I tried DOSBox on that comuter and it works, but Duke Nukem 3D takes 5 minutes to load the main menu and another 5 minutes to load a level. And it runs max. 1-2 FPS. That is when every soundcard and serial emulations are disabled..

Hi Nikiz,

try the MegaBuild. Install the MegaBuild on your modern PC and follow the instructions for setting up real IPX. http://home.arcor.de/h-a-l-9000/

OK, thanks. So, is my friend able to connect this server normally from his home? Without having to install IPX protocolls on his computer?
