Today i went to a local scrapyard and bought this motherboard (?) thing:
At first i was intended to buy only for FPM-EDO ram in first sight and i didn't care to check if it is really 72pin ram.Seller was not selling only ram stick and it was dirty cheap so i bought whole motherboard (?) ram combo.
After going home i realized its neither FPM nor EDO ram according to M5M5408BFP datasheet. It seems some kind of SRAM.My first question is can i use it with my 486 motherboards?(It may sound silly i know.)
Also during inspection of board i realized it has Nec V40 16Mhz 8088 cpu.I have never used 8088 system before.I can supply board with power (have to reverse engineer which are power feed pins) and try to get some kind of serial output if possible just for fun.My second question is is serial output possible with it?
I have dumped 2 ROM chips with TL866 but didn't find anything useful yet. Here they are for who are curious like me:
Any ideas are welcome.
