Is there any one that do have a picture of the new gotek beige/yellow beige with factory oled mounted in a retro case? I’m interested but I can’t find any picture how the beige’s versions will look in a case 😀

Is it from factory like this or is it actually modded and put in new case?

Rotary encoder is suspicious to me because of the way stock gotek works. Or did they perhaps switch to flashfloppy firmware so now it makes sense? Stock firmware is very limited in what it can do and what it supports. Very much specific usage, not flexible at all...

I have only found Two sellers with beige on eBay, they claim it comes like that from gotek, what I can se the beige case is well made. I think also seen this version in black from other online webshops that claim the same.

The Only after mod I can see is the speaker.

Unsure of stock firmware but it was flashed with flash floppy when I bought it.

There is a mention on the flashfloppy git repository from what appears to be a Gotek representative that they were going to start production of a model with OLED and rotary encoder mounted from the factory around May 2021. https://github.com/keirf/flashfloppy/issues/4 … mment-818437014

I/O, I/O,
It's off to disk I go,

That's what confuses me. From images on ebay plastic on case looks to be of higher quality than the ones I got few years back. They even have GOTEK on the front.

Interesting that I can only find "classic" looking models on aliexpress, apart from these few sellers tabm0de mentions there's not trace of these devices 🤔.

Although when you look at the price of vanilla models vs these premoded ones I'm not missing them much 😅.

Correct. The rotary encoder is lost on me, I prefer to use the buttons. The only hardware mod I do to my goteks is add the small oled. And those are $2 in bulk.

Rotary encoders are cheap too.. I only paid $1.60ea with the aluminium knob included.
