I found various drivers, but couldn't get it working. I gave up and ended up using 3COM 3C509B-C card instead, which was really easy to setup. I still have the Intel drivers if you want them.

Yes the oldest found Intel Pro 1000 GT driver is v10 and it only works on Win98SE and up....

Hate posting a reply and then have to edit it because it made no sense 😁 First computer was an IBM 3270 workstation with CGA monitor. Stuff: https://archive.org/details/@horun

I'd be very surprised if there was ever an NDIS 3.0 driver for Windows 3.11 developed. Might be best to look for an NDIS 2.0 driver for DOS - you should be able to make that work with Windows 3.11. If you can't find an NDIS 2.0 driver try looking for a 16bit or 32bit ODI driver - there is likely a way of making one of those work either with Windows' built-in ability to run on top of the Novell client or using an NDIS to ODI shim.

Attached are the drivers that I found back when I was trying to get the card working under DOS. Don't remember if I tried all of them, don't know know if they're supposed to work or not, but their readme files imply they're for DOS. Let me know if you succeed. Thank you.

yep, that package seems to include a real mode NDIS2 driver (e1000.dos). Readme notes "The NDIS2 (DOS) driver is provided solely for the purpose of loading other operating systems -- for example, during RIS or unattended installations. It is not intended as a high-performance driver". It should be possible to use this with Windows 3.11 - I think with the oemsetup.inf file you'll be able to set it up through the GUI. Unless you really must use this card though you'd probably be better off using an older card that has proper NDIS3 drivers for Windows 3.11 rather than relying on real-mode NDIS2 drivers.
