Yes it did. Now it says that the operating system is missing in English instead. Oh well. Probably the best alternative is to just install a fresh install of Windows 95. It was a fun experiment after all!
did you check which partition is set active using the dos fdisk command ?

These are the error messages normally found on an old MBR
- Invalid partition table
- Error loading operating system
- Missing operating system
and this is the error from the boot sector, PBR of a dos 5 fat formatted disk
- Non-System disk or disk error Replace and press any key when ready
Right to repair is fundamental. You own it, you're allowed to fix it.
