So I wanted something between my Pentium II 266 and Athlon XP 3200, I know its a big gap but I felt one system could fill it while keeping a low foot print. I had a Socket A Compaq that I recovered from a bad bios flash, but it also had an Athlon XP 3200 in it, not really needed. Well going through my cpu's looking for something I found an Athlon 900, not remembering where it came from I popped it in. It posted right away, but as a 667mhz Athlon 4, running the bus at 133. Its a little slower than I wanted a 900 would be better and I'm sure if i get one of those defroster kits I could lock the FSB and multiplier, but ya know what I'll take it. It seems the default multi is 5 without multi control and the compaq sets it to 133mhz, so I get an Athlon XP at 667mhz with SSE, and considering at 900mhz its a 24w chip I'm gonna wager a guess its around 16W now. Now to go with it a Geforce4 MX440 64bit card, 512mb of PC2700 at 2100, and an 80GB hard drive running Windows 98SE, it should be perfect, what do yall think
