I have an IOGEAR 2 Port PS/2 KVM. When I try to use it with a PS2toSerial adapter, the PS2toSerial adapter has to be powered off, I then power on the computer and then power on the PS2toSerial adapter. If I don't do this sequence, the PS2toSerial adapter is not initialized properly. This is not an ideal situation, so I came up with the following solution. I got a SABRENT 4 port powered USB Hub with each port having it's own separate power button. Now I just power on the computer and then power on the USB port with the power button and everything works perfectly each time.
