Hi everybody. I was gathering information about my IBM PC/XT collection and I realized that 2 of my four IBM 5,25 floppy disk adapter are faulty. I test it with different motherboards, floppy disk drives and there's no doubt. Both controllers are bad. There are the second version found in - 0 degrees, and apparently there are in a very good condition.

I have to do a lot of work trying to fix it, but I want to ask you some questions

Am I a bad luck guy or this adapter is prone to fail??

Do you know which are or can be the most common failures of these adapters??

Thank you very much in advance!!

Maybe just bad luck. Can you post a few pictures ?

Hate posting a reply and then have to edit it because it made no sense 😁 First computer was an IBM 3270 workstation with CGA monitor. Stuff: https://archive.org/details/@horun
