Hi, i have the motherboard DTK PKM-0033S with SIS 496/467 chipset and currently with 128kB of cache and Intel 486 DX2 66 CPU.
The board detects the cache as it is shown in the initial screen before loading DOS but it doesnt seem to work according to some tests in SpeedSys and CacheChk.
I double checked the jumpers and they are ok, the cache is formed by 5 chips of 32Kx8, 4 for the cache and 1 for the tag.

In the bios i tried with all the settings and nothing works.

Does anyone know what can i do to make it work?

Try with a 16Kx8 TAG chip like in the blurry picture at theretroweb.

Can you post your cachechk results?

We just recently had a very similar thread on VOGONs. The final result was that the CPU jumpering was wrong. Double-check the CPU type jumpers. On SiS496 boards, there usually are a lot of jumpers to be set according to the CPU type...

A 32Kx8 chip as the tag ram should work - as already said, recheck the jumper settings.

It turns out that the 32Kx8 wasnt working as the tag ram, i now put a 16Kx8 in the tag slot, it was swapped with one of the cache rams.
Also the tag chip was 12ns instead of 15ns.

It works now.
