I am looking for some info about Ageia and Nvidia. Is it true that the first chip of Ageia was (too) similar to TNT2?
Do you know an article with the history of Ageia? I find low info out of the archive.org and physx.

"Ageia was (too) similar to TNT2?"; Ageia was not a video processor per say, it was physics processing unit (PPU) so I am not sure how it could be equated to a TNT2 or any other GPU.
According to Wikipedia, Ageia was founded in 2002… while the TNT2 is a card from 1999.
TNT2 is a fixed pipeline graphics card, so unable to compute any kind of physics calculation.

Indeed, this doesn't make any sense. The nVidia TNT2 (it isn't really a GPU due to lacking hardware T&L) and Ageia PPU have nothing in common architecture-wise.
