I've just had an exceptionally good experience with Universal Data Systems: https://universaldatasystems.org

In brief, I ordered an Asus P5A from them, expecting a rev 1.03 based on the pictures on their website. What I received was a rev 1.06 which has an unfortunate incompatibility with the k6-2+ that I intended to use. The listing did NOT specifically say "rev 1.03", so I'm at least partially at fault here.

What they did next is what I'm posting. Rather than give me any sort of runaround, they dug through their inventory and found a rev 1.03 and then sent a courier to exchange the boards at no charge. That's a level of service I haven't experienced in a long time.

I have no relationship with then other than as a one-time customer; if this is an inappropriate post, I apologize.

Very odd site.

They have a small but interesting selection... nothing that jumps out at me right now though.

Very odd store layout too. Why create a separate category for every brand of dial-up modem? Each category has a button with custom graphics... what purpose could that possibly serve?

Now for some blitting from the back buffer.

Probably sole intent is to render all jerky on diallup and make you think a new modem is a good idea 🤣

Unicorn herding operations are proceeding, but all the totes of hens teeth and barrels of rocking horse poop give them plenty of hiding spots.
