Hi, I recently got a Jetway J-403TG V2.0 motherboard with an i486dx2-66. I'm trying to get it running and i got 2 of these ram sticks:

The motherboard doesnt start, there's no video output. I ordered an ISA diagnostic card to troubleshoot it but in the meantime i did some research and apparently ram sticks with a square IC are EOS or ECC ram. If it is, is it gonna run on non-server motherboard? Or should i get some other ram? Any help appreciated.

Some standard boards can run unregistered ECC but it does not look like that. Those appear to be registered ECC and generally will not work on a board that does not support them iirc.

Hate posting a reply and then have to edit it because it made no sense 😁 First computer was an IBM 3270 workstation with CGA monitor. Stuff: https://archive.org/details/@horun

Ohh I see. Gonna try and get some other ram sticks then. Thanks a lot!
